Name and Symbols:
The name Zonta is from the Lakota Sioux Indian word meaning "honest and trustworthy."
The Zonta symbol is a composite of many symbols. Its explanation can be found by going to the Zonta International website www.zonta.org and click on the Zonta symbol in the upper left corner of the screen.
The yellow rose is also a favorite symbol of Zontians. More information about the rose can be found by going to the Zonta International website www.zonta.org and click on the rose in the upper left corner of the screen.
Who we are:
Zontians are executives, professionals, and business owners who

Zontians volunteer their time, talents and energy to local and international service projects that are designed to advance the status of women.
The Brainerd Club of Zonta consists of over 30 members who represent a cross section of business executives, managers, educators, professional designations, entrepreneurs, and others in supervisory positions.
We support a variety of programs which benefit women and the community both locally and internationally through Zonta International through volunteer and fundraising efforts.
We have four meetings a month including a board meeting, business meeting, committee meeting, and program meeting. Members are encouraged to attend meetings regularly to keep well informed as to the activities of the club, and to further their involvement. Most meetings are held at the Sawmill Inn in Brainerd.
